Frequently asked questions

Is ExamPic free?

Yes. Every feature is free, with no sign-up and no limit on how many photos you make.

Is my photo uploaded anywhere?

No. All the work happens inside your browser on your own phone or computer. The photo is never sent to a server, and it's gone when you close the page.

Which exams does ExamPic support?

33 forms, including SSC, UPSC, RRB, State PSC, IBPS, SBI, RBI, LIC, NEET, JEE Main, CUET, UGC NET, GATE, CAT, CTET, KVS, PAN card, driving licence, voter ID, Indian passport, OCI, US, UK, Schengen and Canada visas, and international exams: SAT, ACT, LSAT, NMAT by GMAC and ERAS residency. Choose 'Custom size' for anything else.

Are the sizes always correct?

They come from recent official notifications, and we update them when exams change their rules. Exam bodies change limits between years, so compare the four numbers shown in section B with your own notification, and edit them if they differ.

SSC and Railways don't ask for a photo file any more. Why?

In the 2026 cycle both take a live photo with your webcam or phone during the application. You still upload a signature. See the SSC and RRB guides.

Why is my file padded?

If a picture comes out smaller than the form's minimum KB, ExamPic adds blank data inside the JPG so it reaches the minimum. The picture itself doesn't change, and portals read it normally.

Does it work on a phone?

Yes. It's built for phones first, and the 'Use camera' button opens your camera directly.

Can it remove any background?

It works best on a plain wall. It cleans the wall around you and protects your face and shoulders. A busy background, like a room or a street, won't clean up well; retake the photo against a plain wall.

Can I make a PDF of my certificates?

Yes. Switch to 'Documents to PDF', add photos of each page, pick a size limit, and download one PDF under that limit.

Can I use ExamPic in Hindi or my own language?

Yes. The tool works in English, Hindi, Bengali, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Punjabi, Odia, Assamese, Urdu, Arabic, Spanish and French. Use the language menu at the top.
