IBPS and SBI: photo, signature, thumb and declaration

Bank exams ask for four separate uploads, each with its own pixel size and KB limit. Here is every one, plus the exact declaration text.

All four uploads at a glance

Handwritten declaration800 × 400 (200 dpi)50–100 KBYour own handwriting, in English, black ink

IBPS PO, Clerk, RRB (Officer Scale and Office Assistant) and SO use these limits, and SBI, RBI and most insurance exams follow the same pattern. Confirm in your notification: banks occasionally change a number.

The declaration text

Write this on white paper in your own handwriting, in English, with a black pen. Don't write in capital letters.

"I, (your name), hereby declare that all the information submitted by me in the application form is correct, true and valid. I will present the supporting documents as and when required."

Copy the wording from your own notification if it differs. A typed declaration is not accepted. Candidates who cannot write may have the text typed and put their left thumb impression below it, as the notification explains.

The left thumb impression

  1. Press your left thumb on a blue or black stamp pad, then once on plain white paper. Roll it slightly so the full width shows.
  2. Photograph it straight from above in good light. The ridges should be sharp, not smudged.
  3. In ExamPic choose IBPS (or SBI) and then Left thumb. Centre the print in the circle; the tool saves a 240 × 240 px file within 20–50 KB.

Do all four at once with the exam kit

ExamPic shows an Exam kit for bank exams: add your photo, signature, thumb and declaration, and each is marked Ready once it passes the checks. One button downloads all four in a ZIP, already named photo.jpg, signature.jpg, left_thumb.jpg and declaration.jpg.

Mistakes that get bank applications rejected

  • Using the same image for photo and thumb, or uploading the declaration in the signature box
  • Declaration typed, in capitals, or in someone else's handwriting
  • Thumb impression smudged or too faint to show ridges
  • Photo older than a few months: your face is matched biometrically at the exam centre
