Summary

ExamPic processes your photos, signatures and documents inside your own browser. They are never uploaded to our servers or anyone else's, and we cannot see them. This website uses Google AdSense to show ads, which uses cookies as described below.

Your images and documents

When you add a photo, signature, thumb impression, declaration or document page, your browser reads the file and processes it on your device. Face framing, background cleaning, resizing, compression, ZIP files and PDFs are all created on your device. Nothing is transmitted. When you close or reload the page, the images are gone.

The "Use camera" button only opens your device's own camera app or file picker; ExamPic does not record video or access your camera in the background.

Information stored on your device

We save a few settings in your browser's local storage so the site remembers them: your language, day or night mode, and the last form you chose. They stay on your device, and you can clear them by clearing this site's data in your browser settings.

Advertising and cookies

We use Google AdSense to show ads, which keeps ExamPic free.

  • Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
  • Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
  • You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising at www.aboutads.info.
  • To learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.

Visitors from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are asked for consent before personalised ads are shown.

Fonts and analytics

Text uses Google Fonts, loaded from Google's servers, which receive your IP address when your browser requests them.

We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used: which pages are visited, which exams are chosen, and whether downloads succeed. It records things like your approximate location (city level), device type, browser and the pages you open, using cookies. It never receives your photos, signatures, documents or anything you type into the tool. Google's own use of this data is described in How Google uses information from sites that use its services. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Children

Many people who use ExamPic are students. We don't ask for or collect personal information from anyone, and the images you edit stay on your device.

Your rights

Because we don't collect personal data through the tool, there is normally nothing for us to access, correct or delete. For questions about advertising data, use Google's settings linked above. For anything else, contact us.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
